On the afternoon of March 14th, 2018, the salon “Approaching the Community”, which was one of the themed salons of “The Inheritor of Great Craftsmen Heart”, was held in Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Literature Library on canal bank in Gongshu, Hangzhou. The inheritor and several scholars and experts were invited to discuss the future development of traditional handicraft and share how to get the intangible cultural heritage into community, make it full of vitality and be inherited in the future. In addition to the salons, the exhibition of “Hundreds of Handicrafts along Canal”, the achievement of long-term cooperation with Gongshu Cultural Bureau, enterprises, schools and research institutions, was also held in Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Literature Library, demonstrating the remarkable cooperation between ZUCC and Gongshu District, as well as the efforts in protection and inheritance of traditional handicraft, intangible skills and canal culture.
