On the afternoon of December 29, 2018, the 2019 National Natural Science Foundation Application Mobilization and Training Meeting was held in the Administrative Building of ZUCC. Vice President Chen Fengqiu attended the meeting and delivered a speech.,Director of Scientific Research, Zheng Zengwei, and Deputy Director, Li Shujuan, attended the meeting as well.

       Chen Fengqiu comprehensively analyzed the achievements of the research work of ZUCC in the past three years, with emphasis on the application and approval condition of the National Natural Science Foundation, and put forward requirements for the fund application work in 2019. He stressed that all Schools should attach great importance to the fund application work, fully mobilize teachers to actively apply for the fund, and at the same time, invite relevant experts to fully review and ensure the quality of the application and improve the approval rate. Finally, he asked all the teachers to strictly observe the basic standards, abide by academic ethics and cherish academic reputation.

        In his concluding remarks, Director Zheng Zengwei hoped that the Schools would strengthen discipline construction and strive to get program approval of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth and international research cooperation. ZUCC has various supports and incentive policies for outstanding teachers, so that they can concentrate on scientific research. The  deans from each school should narrow down the discipline and research field, further increase the number of funded programs and the program approval rate.
