Professor Gao Like Made a Lecture at ZUCC Lecture Hall: Trace the Light and Shadow in the Past Hundred Years, Strive to be New Youth of the Times

On the evening of November 27, Gao Like, a professor and doctoral tutor of the Department of International Culture of Zhejiang University, made a lecture at ZUCC Lecture Hall. During the two-hour lecture, Professor Gao quoted from the classics and thoroughly acquainted the audience with the ancient and modern times, sharing the real thoughts of the scholars of the May 4th movement that he had explored with the teachers and students present, bring an academic feast entitled Between China and the West: Cultural Outlooks of the May 4th Intellectuals.

From the collision and sparks of the Eastern and Western Enlightenments to the Chinese and Western cultures in the eyes of the May 4th intellectuals, Professor Gao pointed that: “China’s modernization is the fusion of Chinese history and Western culture. The May 4th intellectual elites’ outlooks of the Chinese and Western cultures have an open global perspective.”
