Hangzhou City University aims to be a high-level new university. Research at HZCU spans 9 academic disciplines. Since 2003, HZCU has attached great importance to the harmonious development of the discipline construction, program construction and faculty training. At present, key disciplines at the provincial, municipal and college level are well distributed. Specifically, the four provincial key disciplines are Computer Application Technology, Geotechnical Engineering, Pharmacology and Business Administration; the three municipal key disciplines are Communication and Information System, Journalism, and International Business; and the four college key disciplines are Mechanical Manufacture and Automation, Science of Economic Law, Finance, and Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics.
