Students of the ZUCC-UW Cooperative Education Program in 2019 Completed Studies Successfully

On the afternoon of June 11, the 2019 Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of the ZUCC and the University of Waikato Cooperative Education Program was held.

Alister Jones, senior Executive Vice President of the University of Waikato, and Wei Wei, President of Zhejiang University City College, set the tassels straight for the over 100 graduates and issued the degree certificates to them. Robyn Longhurst, Vice President of Academic Affairs of the University of Waikato, Ed Weymes, UW Vice President of International Affairs, and Zhu Yongping, Vice President of ZUCC, attended the ceremony.

The UW Program has been in existence for 17 years, during which, three New Zealand Ministers of Education have visited ZUCC. In 2017, the cooperation between the two universities went further. The establishment of the School of NZUWI achieved the breakthrough of zero in the field of Sino-foreign cooperative higher education in Hangzhou, and laid a solid foundation for ZUCC to expand its international education space and improve its school-running level, which is of milestone significance.

It is reported that the fresh graduates of the UW Program had an overseas study admission rate of 70% this year, of which 88.9% were admitted to the world’s top 100 universities such as the University College London, the Australian National University and the University of Melbourne. Other students have mostly been employed by financial institutions such as accounting firms, banks and securities companies, with good employment quality.
